The spatulas are on average 10 inches long. I start with a piece of walnut or maple firewood. I then split the word into half inch wide slats. After that I draw out the shape. Next I cut it out using a hatchet and saw. Then after lots of sanding and carving it is done. The walnut I use is grown in our forest. The spatulas are all handmade, they can be used for frying bacon, stirring popcorn, and a lot more. They are all treated with food safe mineral oil.
Hi my name is Layton. I am 11 and in the 6th grade. This is my first year of homeschooling, because of the pandemic. I am hoping to sell enough wooden utensils to buy a drill press so I can keep making tools.
I have recently made a backyard blacksmithing forge with a piece of old railroad track and a stump for my anvil. I am hoping to learn the ropes of medieval and modern blacksmithing during the pandemic.
I really like working with my hands. one if my favorite projects is a cabin I made with my cousins.
