The spoons are on average 15 inches long. They are made from red oak. The wood is all from our woods. I shape them with the hatchet, saw, and draw knife. The bowl part of the spoon is made using chisels and a hook knife. The spoons are really good for serving food and stirring things like soup and popcorn. They are treated with a food safe mineral oil.
Hi my name is Layton. I am 11 and in the 6th grade. This is my first year of homeschooling, because of the pandemic. I am hoping to sell enough wooden utensils to buy a drill press so I can keep making tools.
I have recently made a backyard blacksmithing forge with a piece of old railroad track and a stump for my anvil. I am hoping to learn the ropes of medieval and modern blacksmithing during the pandemic.
I really like working with my hands. one if my favorite projects is a cabin I made with my cousins.
